Description
SLIPPERINESS METERING PLATFORM MODELTo determine the dynamic critical angle in conformity with ISO 10545-17 annex C and DIN-51130 standards (R Value). The equipment consists of a painted steel framework with one zincplated platform with adjustable angle to accomodate the panel of 100x50cm ceramic floor tiles. Special shoes are impregnated with oil and the operative wearing a safety belt provided walks back and forth on the platform which is being inclined at the rate of 1° per second, until slipping occurs (the critical angle of slipperiness)
TORTUS 3
The Tortus 3 directly measures the dynamic co-efficient of friction as it traverses a surface or flooring material to be used by pedestrians. The measurements recorded are date/time stamped and can be downloaded as data files onto a USB memory stick. The unit can be mains or battery operated. The Tortus 3 has been developed from units originally designed by the British Ceramic Research Association (Ceram Research / Lucideon).
